Biggest advent calendar
in the Town Hall Bad Hindelang
In the historic town hall, a former royal hunting lodge from the year 1660, the windows are decorated by the residents to make a huge advent calendar, with lovely presents for each day of Advent. Within the impressive walls of the town hall you will find the work of local craftsmen and artists including felting, hand-made paper, angels, hand-made puppet- and teddybear-clothing, as well as the craftmanship of lace making.

The "Klausentreiben" takes place at the evenings of 5th and 6th december. Young men – dressed up with sheep furs, wearing helmets with big horns and a cane at hand - are running through the streets... the sound of their big bells filling the air. With this old tradition the "Klausen" banish the evil ghosts of the long and dark winternights.
